ABSTRACT |
The 20 Meter Multi-Stage Shuttle Run Test is being widely utilized to predict the VO2max. It is efficient as it can be used to test a large group in small spaces and can get the needed test result for those who cannot go through the entire test due to weak physical fitness. Therefore, in order to determine the possibility of the 20 Meter MST being utilized in Korea, the reliability, and the validity of the MST were tested with a research subject of 60 male college students. The following are the results of the aforementioned test. The MST proved to a reliable test and in the validity test that used 3 Generalized Estimating Equation, it was shown that the Regression equation of Y2[Y= -32.678 + 6.592MAS, Leger & Gadoury(1989)〕was more appropriate than Y1[Y=-24.4 + 6.0MAS, Leger et al.(1988)] or Y3 [the estimated table provided by Brewer et al(1998)]. |
