Effects of the hapkido-pilates exercise on the health related physical fitness, serum lipid, immune globulin and cytokine concentrations in middle-aged women
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to identify Hapkido-Pilates exercise in middle-aged woman's(N=20) health related physical fitness, serum lipid, immune globulin and cytokine concentration. Exercise program was in the form of circuit training, 3-4 times a week with an exercise intensity of 60~70% HRmax. The factors of body composition in exercise group's weight, fat weight, %fat, WHR, BMI show significant decrease and FFM shows significant increase. The factors of muscular strength in exercise group's back strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance were significantly increased, and back strength in the between group was significantly increased. The factors of serum lipid was not statistically significant. The factors of immune globulin IgM in the exercise group shows significant increase. The factors of the Cytokine IL-6, TNF-⍺, CRP concentration did not show statistical significance. As the result above, Hapkido-Pilates is an effective exercise which provides an overall improvement of the health-realthed physical fitness for middle-aged momen. Also Hapkdo-Pilates exercise has a positive effect on the immune function in middle-aged women.
Key words: health related physical fitness, serum lipid, immune globulin, cytokine
